The disclosed method repeats: a first reaction which forms a coating film containing magnesium hydroxide on the surface of magnesium metal by immersing the magnesium metal in an aqueous solution having magnesium salt as the main component thereof; and a second reaction wherein the coating film is dissolved by the aqueous solution, and the hydroxyl group ions and the magnesium ions in the aqueous solution combine. The resulting magnesium hydroxide precipitated in the aqueous solution is collected. |
