PURPOSE: A TVS/varistor short circuit sensor and a surge protection device for communication are provided to easily manage the protection device by counting and displaying the surge voltage. CONSTITUTION: A GDT arrestor(210) is used for the digital communication. A LED1 is turned on when more than one among a varistor and a TVS of a L1 line is circuit-shorted. A LED2 is turned on when more than one among the varistor and the TVS of a L2 line is circuit-shorted. A LED3 and a LED4 are connected to the L1 line and the L2 line, respectively. An independent power source(206) applies the voltage in the LED1, LED2, LED3 and LED4. |
