An active oxygen generating apparatus comprises cathodes 4 constituted by a plurality of base materials, each containing a conductive polymer, an anode 5 having conductivity, a power source 3 that conducts electricity between both electrodes 4 and 5 through water 1 in which oxygen is dissolved, and a water receiving portion 2 that contains the water 1, in which the cathodes 4 are made of a plurality of plate-shaped base materials 4a installed upright at intervals in the water receiving portion 2 and the anode 5 is arranged across the plurality of base materials 4a and orthogonally to the plurality of base materials 4a. |
