TONER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE TONER, AND IMAGE FORMATION DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMATION METHOD USING THE TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device and a toner having excellent low-temperature fixability, in which toner aggregation does not occur even under a highly humid environment and charge stability can be secured.

SOLUTION: A toner material at least including binder resin or binder resin precursor is dissolved or dispersed to obtain an organic solvent liquid. The organic solvent liquid is emulsified or dispersed in an aqueous medium including a stabilizer to obtain an O/W type emulsion or dispersion liquid. From the O/W type emulsion or dispersion liquid, an organic solvent is removed to obtain an electrostatic charge image developing toner. The electrostatic charge image developing toner includes an external additive. The external additive has an average particle diameter of 50-200 nm. A specific surface area A before hydrophobic treatment and a specific surface area B after hydrophobic treatment on the external additive satisfy a mathematical formula (1): 6/(D.ρ)≤A-B≤A/2 ... formula (1), where ρ represents an absolute specific gravity of the external additive, and D represents particle size of the external additive.
