<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase flexibility in wearing direction of wrist wearing type electronic equipment on a wrist by suitably performing automatic control over the direction of a display of the wrist wearing type electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A wrist watch 1 is so configured that a body part 2 with a display part 30 which is put on a wrist with a band part 3 is put on either inside or outside the wrist and in an either up or down direction. Four wearing patterns are therefore considered which comprise combinations of display surface normal directions of the display part 30 and directions of the display part 30 in wearing. In an embodiment, a wearing pattern determination part 11 determines a current wearing pattern based upon a detection result of an acceleration sensor 60 incorporated in the body part 2.
