PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooking stove preventing various scattering materials from entering the through-hole of a burner when a gas burner is not used. SOLUTION: This gas cooking stove 1 includes a pan bottom temperature sensor 5 which is disposed upright with a gap from the through-hole 33 formed in the center of the burner 21, and which abuts on the bottom of a cooking vessel A in order to detect the temperature of the cooking vessel A. A small-diameter step 37 having a reduced inner diameter is formed in an upper part in the through-hole 33 of the burner 21, and a hood 51 extending outward over the whole periphery is provided to the side surface of the pan bottom temperature sensor 5. The hood 51 is configured such that when the pan bottom temperature sensor 5 is pushed down by the cooking vessel A, the hood is separated from the small-diameter step 37 of the through-hole 33, and when the pan bottom temperature sensor 5 does not abut on the cooking vessel A, and pressed and moved upward, the hood abuts on the small-diameter step 37 of the through-hole 33 to close a clearance between the through-hole 33 and the pan bottom temperature sensor 5.
