<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sintered product in which damage to a green compact during machining prior to a sintering process is prevented, and a burden on a sintering furnace is small. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a sintered product includes: a molding step (a) for molding a green compact 1 with a die; a coating process (b) for coating a binder resin 2 on a surface of the green compact 1; a hardening process (c) for hardening the binder resin 2 coated on the surface; a greening step (d) for greening a hardened article 3 which has been coated with the binder resin 2 and hardened; and a sintering step (e) for sintering the machined article 6 after a greening process. The use of an ultraviolet curable resin can facilitate the coating of the binder resin 2, and the irradiation of ultraviolet ray can harden the binder resin 2 in a shorter period of time. This eliminates cumbersome steps such as mixing material powder and the binder resin 2 and pre-sintering the mixture, thus resulting in an increase in productivity of a sintered product and reduction of the manufacturing cost. In addition, the ultraviolet curable resin contributes to increased strength of the green compact 1, thus preventing the sintered product from being cracked, chipped, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
