<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination apparatus capable of improving the reliability of operation as a lighting apparatus while turning on a light source in view of merits and demerits of night time. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination apparatus comprises: a battery unit BU with a power generation amount detection section 22 for detecting the power generation amount of a photovoltaic power generation section 21; a lighting unit LU; and a control unit CU with a backup power supply section 33 for supplying electric power to a controller 31 if there occurs no power supply from a storage battery section 23. The controller 31 enables a storage section 32 to store a detection result of the power generation amount detection section 22 upon the start-up of the backup power supply section 33, compute night time from the detection result stored in the storage section 32 and control the time and the amount of electric energy supplied to a lighting circuit section 41 according to the length of the time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
