<p>Raw wool and similar fibrous materials are washed continuously by pressing it in a bath between two sheets or surfaces, the bottom one of which is perforated, the surface level of the bath being between the two sheets. The sheets move up and down and to and fro, pressing the material and moving it forward. The dirt is pressed through the bottom perforations and collected.</p> |
