<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an automatic ice maker whose ice making efficiency is improved and reliability is enhanced, and to provide a refrigerator. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic ice maker includes: an ice making tray for making ice as water is supplied; a driving means disposed behind the ice making tray and dropping the ice downward by rotating the ice making tray after making the ice; and an ice detecting lever detecting an amount of the ice dropped by lowering the ice from above as driven by the driving means, wherein the ice detecting lever is disposed opposite to a direction from an ice making position where water is supplied to the ice making tray and the ice is made to a position where the ice making tray is rotated and the ice is dropped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
