<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a temperature of a coolant without detecting the temperature of the coolant. <P>SOLUTION: After a predetermined long time period T1 is past in a state where traveling of a vehicle is stopped, a torque control for controlling an electric pump so that the electric pump rotates at a constant torque is performed, and a concentration Cw of a cooling water is learned on the basis of a rotation speed Np of the electric pump and an outside air temperature when the torque control is performed. The driving of the electric pump stops in case that a predetermined stoppable condition is satisfied when the vehicle runs while accompanied with rotation driving of the electric pump, and the rotation speed Np of the electric pump is detected when a predetermined time period T2 has elapsed from a time point when the electric pump stopped. A viscosity Vis of the cooling water is calculated by calculating a flow rate Vwp of the cooling water on the basis of the rotation speed Np of the electric pump, and a temperature Twp of the cooling water is estimated on the basis of the learned concentration Cw of the cooling water and the calculated viscosity Vis of the cooling water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
