<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopping control device for an engine capable of distributing crank positions when the engine is stopped, and suppressing the localized wear of a ring gear caused by engagement with a starter pinion at startup. <P>SOLUTION: When an engine stop command is present because of an idle stop or a key has been turned off (Yes in S22), an exhaust forced valve-opening mechanism 17 for powertard is operated and an intake throttle valve 14 is controlled to close (S28, S30). After an operation delay of the exhaust forced valve-opening mechanism 17 is eliminated by the passage of a delay time Tdly and an exhaust valve 15 is actually started to be forced open (Yes in S32), an engine 1 is stopped (S26) by the cut of fuel supply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
