A bellows seal for a universal joint is of tapered corrugated form and near its larger end is provided with an inwardly directed annular rib 38 substantially normal to the longitudinal axis and serving to prevent centrifugal deformation and as a retaining member for lubricant in portion 51 of the bellows. The inner edge of rib 38 and the inner peripheries of diaphragm portions 41, 42 lie on the surface of a cone whose apex angle is less than 20 degrees. |
