PURPOSE: A composition containing a Curculigo orchioides extract for preventing or treating hearing loss is provided to effectively suppress the increase of a hearing threshold level. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating hearing loss contains a Curculigo orchioides extract. The hearing loss is noise-induced hearing loss. The extract is prepared using water, C1-C4 alcohol, and a mixture thereof.
