An ATM(Automated Teller Machine) for providing child information and a child information provision method using the same are provided to prevent child information from being used for bad purpose by providing child information after finishing authentication about a user who requests the child information in the ATM. An ATM(300) for providing child information is composed of a fingerprint registration request receiving unit(310) for receiving a fingerprint registration request about children; a fingerprint information obtaining unit(320) for obtaining fingerprint information of the children through a fingerprint recognition unit; a fingerprint information recording unit(330) for recording the fingerprint information correspondently to the child information in a fingerprint database; a fingerprint information search unit(350) searching the fingerprint information corresponding to fingerprint information of a lost child with reference to the fingerprint database; and a child information providing unit(360) displaying the child information corresponding to the searched fingerprint information on a display unit if fingerprint information is searched. |
