The arrangement has a transparent glass roof (16) mounted into a roof opening (14) made by a shell of a motor vehicle (10). Guide rails (22, 24) are fixed at the glass roof for shadowing devices (26). The shadowing devices are moved along the guide rails into a shadowing position and into an open position. The glass roof is sectionally released in the open position. One guide rail is fixed at the glass roof and another guide rail is extended along the former guide rail into a function position, in which the latter guide rail sectionally protrudes over the glass roof. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembly of a roof arrangement of a motor vehicle.
