PURPOSE: A surface layer structure of a rudder for a ship and a formation method thereof are provided to form a corrosion resistant coating layer on the surface of the rudder together with a coating layer successively forming a flow guidance groove composing a constant bump pattern, thereby effectively preventing surface damages of the rudder by cavitation. CONSTITUTION: A surface layer structure of a rudder for a ship comprises a first coating layer(12), a bonding layer(14) and a second coating layer(16). The first coating layer is formed by a corrosion resistant coating material on the surface of a rudder(10). The bonding layer is formed by an adhesive or a primer coated on the surface of the first coating layer. The flow guidance groove is formed on the surface of the second coating layer. The flow guidance groove has a concavo-convex pattern with a fixed shape, wherein the shape is composed of successive rises and falls having the same directional nature as the wake stream of the upper part of the bonding layer. |
