<p>Seal for a part provided with a stuffing box and an axle movable relative to this part has rings of easily deformable material arranged between rings of relatively rigid material fitting around the axle in the stuffing box, the rings of relatively rigid material sloping off towards the side directed towards the rings of deformable material so that during axial pressure on rings a force with a radial component in outwards direction operates at least on the ring of deformable material next to the ring of relatively rigid material. Seal is pref. PTFE esp suitable for sealing fast rotation pump axles.</p> |
