<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder with which the drawing of extra fine line is achieved with higher accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder performs the recording of an image on a recording medium with a first ink composition ejected from one or more of first liquid jet nozzles. In the inkjet recorder, the distance PG between the opening surface of the first liquid jet nozzle 9 and the surface of a platen 8 on which the recording medium 10 is placed is defined by 0.5 mm<PG<2.5 mm. The first ink composition is ejected from the first liquid jet nozzle and then divided into a main droplet whose flight velocity is Vm and one or more satellite droplets including the satellite droplet whose flight velocity is Vs, and flies.
