<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart resistance to humidity and a solvent by enhancing the internal sealability, in a thermal protector having a downsized simple structure while maintaining mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: The case of a thermal protector is composed of a three-piece member, i.e., a cover produced by insert molding a metal piece in resin, an arm produced by insert molding a portion of a metal piece having an arm movable part and an arm terminal in resin, and a base produced by insert molding a portion of a metal piece having a base terminal in resin.
