<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint enabling a pipe member to be connected to the pipe joint without peeling a coating layer of the pipe member. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe joint includes: a joint body 2; a sealing means 14 and a fastening means 16 which are interposed between a pipe member 32 and the joint body 2; and a press ring 18 screwed in the joint body 2. The joint body 2 has a first tapered surface 12, and the press ring 18 has a second tapered surface 26. The pipe member 32 has a pipe body 38 and a coating layer 40 for coating the outer circumferential surface of the pipe body 38. A sleeve member 42 is fitted to the connection side end of the pipe member 32 to coat the outer circumferential surface thereof. The sealing means 14, the fastening means 16 and the press ring 18 are fitted to the sleeve member 42. When the press ring 18 is threadedly engaged with the joint body 2 and turned in a fastening direction, the sealing means 14 is pressed to the first tapered surface to seal a space between the joint body 2 and the sleeve member 42, and the fastening means 16 bites into the second tapered surface 26 of the press ring 18 to fasten the sleeve member 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
