<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for vehicle capable of displaying a plurality of designs for indicator in the same display place 4a on a display board 5 in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: In a display device for vehicle which displays designs for indicator at least on a display board: light sources 10, 11, which irradiate the display board 5 with at least two kinds of colors from the rear side thereof, are provided at a position corresponding to the display board 5; at least two kinds of designs for indicator "N and R" corresponding to the colors of the light sources 10, 11, respectively, are drawn on the display board 5; a filter 15 is provided which transmits a specific color among a plurality of colors of the light sources; and light source control means 20 is provided which switches colors emitted by the light sources 10, 11 and switches and displays at least two kinds of designs for indicator having different colors and shapes in the substantially same place via the filter 15.
