<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method, and a system for surely determining a position of a mobile station with larger reliability in order to solve such a problem that each position determination scheme might be sometimes inaccurate and/or might not be able to be used, and thus, the mobile station or a network using an arbitrary position determination scheme might acquire no result or an inaccurate result when position determination is required for a current position of the mobile station. <P>SOLUTION: A method for surely determining a position of a mobile station includes: determining a position of a mobile station by using a first position determination scheme; and when the first scheme does not give an acceptable position result, repeatedly determining a position by using at least one other position determination scheme different from the first scheme at least in some repetitions (i) until a repetition gives an acceptable position result, or (ii) until all available position determination schemes are utilized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
