摘要 PURPOSE: A method for extracting central coordinates of a touch position and a touch display device thereof are provided to increase an interpolation speed while maintaining accuracy by a detailed interpolating touch area with a 3D line interpolation method and interpolating other touch areas with the average of sensing values of four sensing nodes facing high resolution areas in row and column directions. CONSTITUTION: A touch controller sets a touch area by using sensor nodes including a sensor node having the large strength of a touch signal based on touch recognition algorithm(S10). The touch area is divided into a high resolution area and a low resolution area(S20). An interpolation value of the high resolution area is calculated by using a 3D line interpolation method(S30). An interpolation value of the low resolution area is calculated by averaging sensing values of senor nodes facing high resolution areas in row and column directions(S40). Central coordinates of a touch position are extracted based on the calculated interpolation values(S50).
