PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a thread which is coated with a superabsorbent is provided to minimize time for thermal treatment and to improve productivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a thread which is coated with a superabsorbent material comprises: a step of preparing a dispersion solution of a semi-crosslinked superabsorbent precursor and coating a thread with the dispersion solution; and a step of heating the coated thread to form a superabsorbent material. The mean particle diameter of the semi-crosslinked superabsorbent precursor is 1-1000 nm. The thread contains a continuous multifilament. The dispersion solution contains water as a dispersion medium.
