摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for high performance composite material which can achieve morphological stability by preventing fiber slippage and fray of reinforced fibrous base material, and also has excellent mechanical characteristics and heat resistance of FRP, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The adopted technical method includes forming a reinforced fibrous sheet base S by arranging a plurality of reinforced fiber thread lines 1 in parallel, and making them contact with a low melting point thermoplastic polymer P while maintaining the orientation of these reinforced fiber thread lines 1 and further includes heating the reinforced fiber sheet base S for melting, to a temperature higher than the melting point of the low melting point thermoplastic polymer P, bonding the reinforced fiber thread lines 1 to each other, or bonding reinforced fiber threads to supplementary yarns with the low melting point thermoplastic polymer P, to obtain a stabilized sheet form, and then irradiating with ionizing radiation the reinforced fiber sheet base S to increase the melting temperature of the low melting point thermoplastic polymer P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
