PURPOSE: A vehicle controlling method using a smart key and an apparatus using the same are provided to improve the security of a vehicle control operation through a smart key. CONSTITUTION: A radio frequency communication unit(102) transmits a response request signal with a smart key and receives a response signal corresponding to a response request signal. A receiving sensitivity measuring unit(104) determines whether the receiving sensitivity of a response signal received from a radio frequency communication unit is matched with preset receiving sensitivity information.
