<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which a pointer display with a half-circle or a sector display area takes time for the pointer to return; the scale is difficult to read because the angle per unit scale becomes small; and the range in which the pointer moves becomes small. <P>SOLUTION: Scales are engraved in a display area in both outward and homeward directions, while the scales in outward and homeward directions are arranged shifted from each other so that a single pointer can point at the scale in the travel not only in the outward direction but also in the homeward direction. Thus is provided an information display device that does not require a quick motion of the pointer in the homeward direction, and that allows a user to easily read the scale because of a large movement amount per unit scale. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
