<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress with a new structure with which bedsore can be effectively prevented by reducing gathering at the top face of the mattress when the mattress is bent. <P>SOLUTION: A base member 22 extending in a width direction of a bed 12 is provided. Connection members 24 are disposed at both ends of the base member 22 in the width direction. Between these connection members 24 in the width direction, a cushion body 26 is disposed on the base member 22, while a plurality of base members 22 are disposed to be aligned in a length direction perpendicular to the width direction. The connection members 24 attached to the base members 22 are disposed to be aligned in the length direction, while for at least one pair of connection members 24 adjacent in the length direction, connectors 46, 48 are disposed to connect these connection members 24 in a manner to be tiltable.
