PURPOSE: An audio signal processing apparatus and an audio signal processing method are provided to produce an audio object with stereoscopic perception to six directions, thereby improving stereoscopic perception of an audio signal. CONSTITUTION: An index estimator(110) receives 3D video information. Based on the 3D video information, the index estimator generates index information to generate stereoscopic perception in at least one direction among left and right, up and down directions, and forward and backward directions to an audio object. Based on the index information, rendering unit(150) generates stereoscopic perception to at least one direction among left and right directions, up and down directions, and forward and backward directions to the audio object. The index estimator comprises at least one among acoustic spreading sense information to the left and right directions, depth information to the forward and backward information, and high degree sense information to the up and down directions.
