PURPOSE: A store management system using face recognition and a method thereof are provided to efficiently perform customer management by confirming and managing customer information through face recognition and storing and analyzing the preference of customers. CONSTITUTION: A sensor unit(80) senses a human body entering through a door. When the sensor unit senses a person entering through the door, a camera(10) photographs the face of the person. An image editing unit(20) edits the image photographed by the camera. A database registers and stores the image as member information and includes a offender database, a missing child database, and member database storing an image information of a suspect. When a human body sensing signal of the sensor unit is received, a control unit(50) turns on the camera to photograph, applies the photographed image to the image editing unit to extract a face from the image, and determines information matched with the member information stored in the database.
