<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a fire hydrant valve from breakage and operation fault due to freeze. <P>SOLUTION: The fire hydrant valve 54 set in the fire hydrant appliance for discharging water from a hose with a nozzle by opening an on-off lever of the fire hydrant valve opens and closes a path between the primary inflow port 80 and secondary outlet port 82 by rotatably allocating a ball valve plug 88 which passes through a valve hole 90 via sheets, 84 and 86, in a valve body 72 fixed with a valve chest 78 having the primary inflow port 80 and secondary outlet port 82 relatively arranged, and rotating the ball valve plug 88. In the ball valve plug 88, a communicating hole 98 for communicating the valve hole 90 to the primary inflow port 80 of the valve body 72 at a closed position is set up to communicate with water remaining in the primary pipe fixed with an antifreezing structure to prevent breakage due to freeze expansion of the water remaining in the valve hole 98. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
