The arrangement has a pulsed laser system provided with an oscillator or an oscillator/amplifier. A light-guiding optical waveguide transmits a laser pulse that exhibits pulse duration and coherence length and strikes on a semireflecting element (21). The pulse is partially reflected by the semireflecting element. A partial laser pulse is passed by the semireflecting element and reflected by a highly reflecting element (26). The semireflecting and highly reflecting elements are arranged on each other such that the pulses exhibit common propagation direction and time displacement to each other. The semireflecting elements are plan-parallel plates.
