<p>Disclosed is an offset feed microwave antenna comprising a feed, a first metamaterial panel, and a reflective panel affixed to the back of the first metamaterial panel, where a connection between the feed and the center of the exterior surface of the first metamaterial is provided with angle ? that is not equal to 180°. A spherical electromagnetic wave emitted by the feed is refracted via the first metamaterial panel, reflected by the reflective panel, and re-refracted via the first metamaterial panel, then finally transmitted outward as a plane electromagnetic wave. The present invention uses the principle of metamaterial for manufacturing the antenna, thus allowing the antenna to break away from restrictions of conventional concave lens shape, convex lens shape, and parabolic shape. Having employed the present invention, the antenna allows for the shape thereof to be panel-shaped or any shape as desired, and for reduced thickness, reduced size, and facilitated processing and manufacturing, and provides beneficial effects of reduced costs and improved gain effect.</p> |
