PURPOSE: An escrow type payment system with partial payment and a method thereof are provided to guarantee satisfaction and confidence with product as a consumer purchases the product at a low cost beforehand and pays for the product after checking the quality of the product. CONSTITUTION: If a prepayment request for a part of a selling price of a product purchased by a purchaser is received, a payment processor(210) prepays the part of the price. If the prepayment is completed, an information manager(220) receives an intrinsic number of a coupon issued to the purchaser through a coupon management system.
