摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device having high image quality. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device includes a matrix lens 4. A lens action surface portion of the matrix lens 4 arranged in front of a 3-in-1 LED light-emitting element 2, includes an incident surface portion 4b which light beams emitted from LED chips as a light-emitting device enter in parallel to a predetermined axis, and an emission surface portion 4a from which the light beams are emitted, both being formed rotationally symmetrically around the axis. The incident surface portion 4b has a concave surface portion 4b1 centering the axis, and a ring-shaped convex surface portion 4b2 formed outward from an outer periphery of the concave surface portion 4b1. The emission surface portion 4a has a convex surface portion centering the axis. Light beams (main beams) emitted from LED chips 2a and 2c arranged so as to be deviated from the axis, enter the ring-shaped convex surface section 4b2 of the incident surface portion 4b, and are emitted from the emission surface portion 4a having an inclination angle close to that of the incident surface portion 4b in a direction nearly parallel to the axis, so that the spread of light fluxes are reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
