<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of preventing a part of a housing from being damaged at the time of solder connection. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical pickup device 10, a board 42 fixed to an LD holder 34 and a board 18 covering a housing 12 from the lower face are connected through a solder 44. An inner upper end of an external sidewall 30A of the housing 12 near the connection part is partly notched to form a cut surface 46. By providing the cut surface 46, a soldering iron used to connection of the solder 44 does not touch the external sidewall 30A, so that the part can be prevented from being damaged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
