PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a receivable channel with good convenience. SOLUTION: An MPU 11 of a digital receiver includes a receivable/unreceivable decision unit 111 which decides whether a television broadcast can be received at a corresponding band through a reception unit 14 for each physical channel stored in a frequency storage unit 121, a country name acquisition unit 112 which acquires, through a reception unit 14, country name identification information for identifying the name of a country where a viewer resides who watches the corresponding television broadcast for each logical channel included in a frequency band corresponding to a physical channel and corresponding to a channel number selected by a user when it is decided that the television broadcast can be received, and a country name recording unit 113 which records the acquired country name identification information in a channel storage unit 122 while associating physical channel number information with logical channel number information.
