FIELD: technological processes.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for molding of a blank. Rod tool is pressed into a blank and gradually stretched when moving the rod tool ensuring reduction of the leaf thickness after its stepwise forming relative to the leaf thickness prior to the stepwise forming. Use is made of a rod tool with hemispherical shape of the end section. At that, the value of the rod tool pressing is determined depending on the radius of its end section and the value of its displacement.EFFECT: higher quality of blanks due to reduction in variation of changes in sizes of blanks before and after stepwise forming.1 cl, 7 dwg
