<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device (10) has a brake disk (12) made of fiber-reinforced carbon-silicon carbide-material, and a brake lining (14) that tribologically co-acts with the brake disk. The brake disk and/or the brake lining are designed such that a prevailing load duty cycle of temperature, pressure and speed causes the formation of a film-type intermediate layer (16) that is adherent to the brake disk and/or brake lining surface, where the brake lining is made on organic basis and inorganic basis. The brake disk and/or the brake lining surface exhibits recesses that are designed in a circular manner. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Brake device for a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The brake disk and/or the brake lining are designed such that the prevailing load duty cycle of temperature, pressure and speed causes the formation of the film-type intermediate layer that is adherent to the brake disk and/or brake lining surface, thus stabilizing friction coefficient characteristics and achieving improved braking power. The intermediate layer is utilized as a surface protection against burnout of carbon components from the brake disk surface and the brake lining surface, thus achieving reduced wear out of the disk and the lining, and hence increasing service life of the brake device.
