PURPOSE: A power supply device is provided to prevent surge current from flowing into a standby IC. CONSTITUTION: A transformer part converts applied power according to first and secondary winding ratio and outputs the power. A standby IC(140) sends back power outputted from the transformer and control the output of power. The standby IC comprises a regulator(142) and a switch(144). A protector(145) is installed between the drain end and source end of the standby IC.
