<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable composition that exhibits a liquid crystal phase at about room temperature, has excellent solvent solubility, and can provide, when cured, a polymer film which maintains a uniform film state and is excellent in orientation control and optical characteristics and adhesiveness to a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The polymerizable composition contains a compound (A) represented by general formula (1) and a compound (B) having at least one each of (meth)acrylate group and carboxyl group (wherein R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>each independently represent hydrogen atom or methyl; rings A<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-A<SP POS="POST">3</SP>each independently represent benzene ring, naphthalene ring or the like; X, Y and Z each independently represent 1-8C alkyl or the like; L<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-L<SP POS="POST">4</SP>each independently represent single bond, -COO-, -OCO or the like; and a, b and c, which are the number of substituents in the rings A<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-A<SP POS="POST">3</SP>respectively, independently represent an integer of 2v+2 or less, wherein v is the number of 6-membered rings included in the rings A<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-A<SP POS="POST">3</SP>respectively). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
