<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to apply a stapling format to any copy by independently displacing a pair of guide fences to be moved in the width direction correspondingly to the side edge of a copy and a pair of staplers to be moved in the width direction correspondingly to the tip of the copy. CONSTITUTION:When data from a controlling CPU in a copying machine 2000 are an end face reference, a microcomputer checks the size of a copy. In case of an A3 plate, a stepping motor is driven so that one of guide fences 34 and staplers 23 is moved correspondingly to its size. After checking the stapling position, one or both of the staplers 23 is driven to execute stapling. Thus, the operation of the guide fences 34 and the staplers 23 is controlled in accordance with the size of copies discharged from the copying machine 2000, the discharging state, the positions of staplers and the number of staples.</p> |
