A light-emitting device (1) is disclosed. The light-emitting device (1) comprises a plurality of light-emitting elements (16) or light sources and a flexible pad (2) for position and conforming the light-emitting device (1) to a portion of the body, wherein the flexible pad (2) further comprises a three-dimensional structure having a plurality of protrusions (4) for contacting the skin when the light-emitting device (1) is applied to the skin, a plurality of recesses (5) for creating a clearance between the skin and the flexible pad (2) when the light-emitting device (1) is applied to the skin, and a plurality of apertures (6) for engaging with the plurality of light-emitting elements (16).
