<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scooter type motorcycle capable of suppressing an increase in the vehicle width and suppressing entry of dust, muddy water or the like into a transmission case, with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This scooter type motorcycle includes an air cleaner 50 swingable with an engine unit 10 relative to a vehicle body frame. In the air cleaner 50, an intake chamber 71 for a transmission and an intake chamber 72 for an engine are formed. In the air cleaner 50, an intake port 74 communicating with the intake chamber 71 and an intake port 76 communicating with the intake chamber 72 are formed. The transmission case 29 includes a duct unit 60 for guiding air in the intake chamber 71 to a belt chamber.
