摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stack for a thermoacoustic device, which is capable of performing self-excited oscillation with a small temperature difference even at a higher frequency with a reduced size, and to provide a method for manufacturing a stack for a thermoacoustic device. <P>SOLUTION: A stack 3 having a plurality of through-holes 31 is composed of a material having a thermal conductivity of less than 10 [W/(m&times;K)]. Thereby, even when the stack 3 is reduced in length, the temperature gradient can be scaled (proportionally reduced), and the temperature of a high-temperature side heat exchanger necessary to obtain a critical temperature gradient can be decreased.
