PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce a fault of products caused by brightness change by compensating for brightness difference between the center part and the edge part of a screen by controlling voltage of a first and a second common electrodes. CONSTITUTION: An array panel(110) includes a pixel electrode(116). A color filter substrate(130) includes a common electrode(131a,131b). The common electrode faces the pixel electrode. A liquid crystal layer(120) is interposed between the array panel and the color filter substrate. The common electrode includes a first common electrode and a second common electrode. The first common electrode is arranged in a position corresponding to the central part of a screen area. The second common electrode is arranged in a position corresponding to the edge part of the screen area.
