METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CORRECTING DEFECT OF COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for correcting a defect of a color filter capable of shortening a correction time by changing an ink transfer amount without replacing an application needle or applying ink a plurality of times in the method for correcting the defect when manufacturing color filters for liquid crystal display devices having a color layer formed on a glass substrate or a TFT substrate.

SOLUTION: The method for correcting the defect of the color filter includes: after forming a color layer on a substrate, removing a defect part in the color layer with laser; and transferring a correction ink having a same color to that of the color layer to the removed opening part using an application needle. A contact angle of the application needle to the substrate is changed so as to change a contact area between the correction ink at the tip of the application needle and the substrate. The application needle is rotated by a predetermined angle in the axial center direction so as to change the contact area between the correction ink at the tip of the application needle and the substrate.
