<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the number of printed sheets can be increased even in an end stage of the lifetime of a fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes a first roller, a second roller, driving means, measuring means, expiration date determining means, and control means. When the expiration date determining means determines that at least one of the first roller and the second roller expires upon initialization of the image forming device, the control means does not drive the driving means. When the expiration date determining means determines that at least one of the first roller and the second roller is coming close to the expiration date, the control means allows the driving means to drive only in a period until a measuring time by the measuring means exceeds a predetermined time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
