<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image blur that occurs when a transfer material enters a fixing device in a warped state, in particular, blur of an image on a front end of the transfer material that occurs during rimless printing, and rear end rubbing that occurs when a rear end of the transfer material rubs an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: Detection means that detects the amount of warpage is provided between transfer means and fixing means, detects the amount and direction of warpage of a transfer material, and controls a position of an entrance guide that guides the transfer material to a nip of the fixing means. The warpage detection means can be bend amount measuring means that detects bend amount of the transfer material between the transfer means and the fixing means, and controls conveying speed of the fixing means on the basis of the detection result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
